How often are your sites checked?
What counts as a check
One uptime check of one site: Pingpile asks for the home page, reads the start of it and judges it. A site checked every 5 minutes costs 288 checks a day, one checked every hour costs 24.
Automatic, or a fixed interval
Pingpile spreads your budget evenly over your sites and picks the shortest interval that fits, down to every 5 minutes; shorter is a fixed interval you choose. Add sites in Search Console and every site is checked a little less often; Pingpile mails you when that happens. A site that matters more can have a fixed interval, as long as the budget has room for it, and the rest share what is left.
What does not count
Fetching and validating your sitemaps, the rolling checks of pages listed in them, syncing with Search Console, alert emails, and the extra checks that confirm a failure or a recovery a minute later.
Alert emails
An email when a site goes down or comes back, and when a sitemap or indexing problem starts or ends: 10 a day, and 10 more for each unit. Past that, alerts show on your dashboard instead. If you get 10 warnings in a day, the next email is probably not your biggest problem.
Over budget
Nothing is switched off. Every site is still checked at least once a day, and we get in touch first.
